    Graphics warlock Andy Mckinna nicked some drawings from Stephen Elwell and notes/lyrics from Simon Yorkshire and enchanted the buggers to create packaging and a booklet for limited edition CDs, all slaved over by the band.

about

The duo awoke on April Fools Day 2017 in a converted bedroom somewhere sexy between New Cross and Peckham.

Simon Yorkshire’s dad was dead: to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that. The register of his burial was signed by a saintly Salvation Army major, the dubious corporate undertakers and Simon Yorkshire’s mam. There is no doubt that Yorkshire Senior was dead. This must be distinctly understood, or little wonderful can come of the stories we are going to relate.

credits

released November 29, 2017

Stephen Elwell of Old Kent Road: dreamlike compositions played on guitar, synth, percussion and badger extracts;
Simon Oughton of Yorkshire – nightmarish lyrics and (one-take) vocals… Whilst none other than Simon Yorkshire may be blamed for the lyrics on this record, ‘Cremation Memes’ borrows from the songs of Nelson Eddy… and Pinocchio, as once interpreted by Simon Yorkshire’s father. Oh, and he filched rather liberally from the various authors of Genesis I for ‘Let there be Teeth’…
Half of the record was recorded live in a rehearsal room in The Music Complex in Deptford on the 12th of July, 2017; the other half was
recorded live in Silo SE8 studio in Deptford on the 13th of July, 2017…Outro was recorded live on the banks on the Thames on Simon Yorkshire's mobile.
Mixed by Stephen Elwell, along with moral support, occasional suggestions and beer from Simon Yorkshire.
Mastered by Nik the Deks
The cover and sleeve art all stems from the mitts of Stephen Elwell, interpreting Simon Yorkshire’s nightmares… Any miscellaneous sleeve notes are by Simon Yorkshire…and Charles Dickens.
Sleeve layout and design by Andy McKinna…
Sixty-nine thanks are proffered to Nik the Deks and Andy Mckinna for allowing us to exploit them, alongside Crushing Objects Records and everyone who has supported this abrupt musical project.
